20+ Years of Experience
Associated Steamship Agents, S.A. can trace its origins on the Isthmus of Panama back to 1889.

Mr. William Andrews founded the firm of W. Andrews & Company in Colon in 1889, and with the opening of the Panama Canal to world commerce in 1914, established offices with Payne & Wardlaw in Cristobal and Balboa. The firms took the final step of merging into Associated Steamship Agents, S.A in 1975.

In 2000 AYS was born as a division from ASA, specializing in the support of superyachts and megayachts that are cruising in Panama and/or transiting the Panama Canal.
The Infrastructure
We maintain offices on both sides of the Panama Canal.
Each office is in constant contact with the Panama Canal Authority and Port Operators.
One of our officers maintains a watching brief on every yacht from ETA messages through arrival to departure.
Thoroughly familiar with the Panama Canal and Port operations, we are able to prevent unnecessary delays and ensure that every yacht we assist receives the most expeditious handling possible.
PACIFIC - Panama Pacifico (Head Office)
Panama Pacifico office is a first-class logistics center for the Americas. The office is located on the Pacific side near the marinas, the Pacific ports & terminals, and the yacht anchorages.
ATLANTIC - Cristobal Office
At the canal's northern entrance on the Atlantic side in the city of Colon, Cristobal Office is located in front of the Panama Ports Terminal, next to the Colon Free Zone and Manzanillo International Terminal. The office is also near Shelter Bay Marina and the Atlantic yacht anchorage.
